After inviting several builders round with a kitchen extension in mind, BB builders, without any doubt, become our first choice. From the offset, it was clear that Brian was keen to deliver what we had proposed, by taking the time to listen as well as offering invaluable advice. Brian was also honest, at an early stage, as to what was buildable and highlighted any ‘potential’ concerns to avoid disappointment or monetary worries once the works had commenced.
The construction itself was carried out with minimum disruption to us and everything was always kept tidy. BB Builders take pride in their workmanship and, when necessary, use very competent sub-contractors each specialising in particular trades to ensure a swift build without compromising on quality. We were amazed at the speed to which our extension was constructed given the harsh winter weather that BB builders had to endure. Brian even made himself available to work on the occasional weekend, at our consent, to gain back time lost due to bad weather. Brian remained in constant contact throughout the build, asking all the right questions thus avoiding any unwelcome surprises. Once started, our extension remained optimum priority until completed rather than suffering at the hands of another job. Through years of experience of working in the area, Brian has formed a good relationship with the Local Authority which we found proved beneficial in the smooth handling of site inspections by the Building Inspector.
We felt confident with BB builders that any concerns of ours would not be met with confrontation and Brian personally had no hesitation in calling back any third party to correct minor snags, of which there were very few.
We are extremely pleased with our extension and we can’t thank BB builders enough for going just that one step further to please us, an attitude which unfortunately is in decline by today’s standards.
To summarise, we felt that BB builders delivered exactly what we wished for at a very competitive price and we would have no hesitation in employing them again or recommending them to others.
